SRVA Officials
SRVA is excited to announce the addition of Marie Dunn and Jim Cooley as the new Lead Officials for AAU Volleyball during the 2012 season.

Marie Dunn Marie began playing in the 60's. While attending Santa Rosa Junior College in 1976, played on the team one year. Then joined a USA Women's team as a setter for the tr avel team for 3 years. She began playing and reffing adult leagues in 1977, then High School and Club reffing in 1979 and college reffing in 1983. Marie has been chosen for 5 California State High School Championships since 2000.
Marie has been assigned to officiate the Finals at the Volleyball Festival for 16, 17's and 18's every year in some capacity over the last 10 years of 22 years as an official there, R1, R2, lines and score. Most recently scorekeeper for CA High School State Finals D2 2010.
Also, has been lines judge and scorekeeper for Pac 12, Big West, and WCC since 1992.
Marie currently lives in Hillsboro, OR with her husband Mark, who is the 2010 Collegiate Club Volleyball Division 2 Men's National Championship Coach of Sonoma State. Marie will belong to Oregon College Volleyball Officials Association where she will continue to officiate at the college level with Pac 12, Big Sky, and WCC along with Division 3 and NAIA schools locally. She has 3 daughters that all played at the college level, Heather at Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA; Melissa at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR and Stephanie at Sonoma State University for the NCAA team as well as the Women's Club team. Stephanie also joins us as an official for AAU.
For USA Volleyball, a member of Columbia Empire Volleyball Association in Oregon and travels to officiate for Collegiate Club Volleyball at the National Tournament as well as qualifying tournaments in Spokane, Southern California and Las Vegas.

Jim Cooley Jim began his volleyball officiating career in 2007. Prior to that, he has coached at a national level with a locally known club in the Sacramento, CA region since 2001 and has been a volleyball player since 1986. Jim currently officiates for and is affiliated with the following organizations:
- PAVO (Professional Association of Volleyball Officials)
- PSBO (Pacific Sierra Board of Officials)
- USAV (USA Volleyball)
- CVCOA (California Volleyball Collegiate Officials Association)
- AAU (Amateur Athletic Union)
- NFHS (National Federation of High Schools).
At the collegiate level, Jim is currently officiating as a Division 1 linesperson and assistant scorekeeper for the Pac-12 conference. He also officiates as a linesperson for the Big West and Big Sky conferences. Additionally, he officiates as an R1/R2 for some of the Northern California NAIA (Nat'l Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) schools within the CalPAC (California Pacific Conference) and junior colleges within the CVCOA. At the club volleyball level, Jim officiates junior volleyball events within USAV and AAU. Most recently, he served as the co-lead official responsible for training and mentoring other officials within JSA (Jackson Sports Academy). At the high school level, Jim officiates as an R1/R2 and also acts as a mentor/trainer to other officials to help and provide career enhancement/advancement opportunities.
When not officiating, Jim is active and busy with his wife and two daughters and is deeply involved with their sporting activities. Jim looks forward to working within the SRVA organization and AAU to help create the best volleyball environment for all.
